Grading scheme
- Part A: 3 points per problem
- Part B: 4 points per problem
- Part C: 5 points per problem
- Total possible: 100 points
- A blank answer receives 0
- An incorrect answer receives (minus) - 1/4 of the points for that problem.
- So, the expected score on any problem is the same whether a student leaves it blank or guesses randomly.
- If a student can correctly eliminate one option, then he/she should definitely guess.
